The OCKHAM Registry Service

1. Introduction

This document is intended to describe the OCKHAM Registry Service. The Registry Service provides an advertisement and discovery mechanism for other OCKHAM-available services. Institutions will be able to advertise services that they make available through standard descriptive metadata, as well as provide access information through similiar standard metadata. Users will be able to search and discover available offered services through the registry.

In this document the key words "must", "must not", "required", "shall", "shall not", "should", "should not", "recommended", "may", and "optional" in bold face are to be interpreted as described in RFC 2119.
