The Maintain Project Thus Far

JIRA (http://bugs.osuosl.org/) knows about these versions of Maintain as of 2/16/2007

2.2 --> 2.4.0 --> 3.0 (3.0-rc1) (3.0-rc2) --> 3.1

*2.2: Depreciated version. Not under active development and bugs will not be fixed by the development team.
*2.4.0: soon to be depreciated version. In use currently by OSU, this version is on the chopping block to be replaced by version 3.*. Critical bugs are fixed, but not under active development
*3.0: Current stable version. This is a complete rewrite of Maintain from version 2.4.0. This is also the only stable release of the new Maintain at the moment.
*3.1: Current development version. All bugfixes from version 3.0, as well as all new features, are going into version 3.1.

The Future

Version 3.0 is released under the new version system for Maintian3. All versions with an even digit in the second place are stable, and all digits with an odd digit in the second place are unstable. That is to say, when 3.1.x is stable it will be released as 3.2.0, and an unstable version 3.3.x will be released when new features are added, only bug fixes will be added to 3.2.x from that point on.

So, once version 3.1 is stable, it will be released as version 3.2 and our next development version for new features and bugfixes will be version 3.3.
